I'd tried to tell her the truth about my hv20 but without result I do not recognize the firmware.

I don't know who the admin is or how to send a pm so i have to send this public, admin feel free to delete after you read. What is spam about the sig? Lots of people post links in their sig. I think it's a little quick to go in and edit someone's message. If there's a problem why not send me a note? After looking, i agree, a bit long in the sig, but editing someone's content without having sent any type of warning is downright disrespectful. I'll edit the sig, will you let me know if it meets your needs rather than changing content in my message?

    Thanks,

    Rob T.

And now i find that you've gone into my settings and erased my sig completely. I'm out, i'd rather shut the heck up like before, i don't like people to edit my posts, if you take it as spam, great, let me know, it wasn't meant as spam, and so by definition, it's not. After looking at a log (i can't see it here since you deleted it in my account) i agree it's a little too wordy. But you're the site admin, you get to be any way you want about it, let me know i'll change it, editing my post with no warning is pretty disrespectful; going into my account and changing settings is a ways over the line.

To the hackers, thanks for taking the time to do this stuff!

Your posts got very hard to read because of that large sig.

Anyways, the sd card itself is not the problem. The interface to the sd card and where the mpeg encoder puts the video is. The best you could do is maybe a jpeg sequence if you rewrote the still camera part of the firmware.

    Off Topic

You can read it like any other post, just don't read the sig if you don't want to it's in the same place sigs for everyone else is.

Not sure how all my "posts" were getting so hard for you to read, there was only one made with the sig, and it was quickly edited by the admin sig police and my account settings were modified, my sig was deleted completely. Did you really see it, and was it really that much of an annoyance to you?

Actually what was over the line was that you put your advertising WITHIN your post.
That's a whole new level of cunning.
Of course, it's also possible that you were so distracted SPAMMING the board with your sig,
that you accidentally screwed up the [QUOTE] tags.
After a second look, it appears that was the case.

In any event, we don't offer personal coaching in this forum, so:
get on board or go away...

    @robisaistru

You really starting to annoy this forum. I and the people that visit this site come here to get, or share informative literature. You only share your whining, and we do not care about your sig, now be gone...

To jollyrogerxp: Just an idea: is it possible a HUE option to be added as a control in the HV30 firmware? Or like a RGB control... Some people would say "Why?!? We have White Balance setting!" - hmm, yes, but totally different. Also, maybe everyone has noticed already that whatever custom white balance to adjust, it almost doubles one of the inner HV's WB presets. I think such an idea is absolutely important and helpful, such a control will do wonders to anyone of us using it as a pre settings in HV30!!! Just think about that and say what you think.

The latest is that sdeming managed to snatch a semi-broken HV20 off ebay for 50 bucks (enough of it it's working to test a few things), and it's on the way to here.

I might have a way to try putting the HV30 firmware into the HV20, and the broken HV20 will help try it out; if it works then we can use everything we know about the HV30 on the HV20 too, if it doesn't work, well we'll go on on the HV30 only for now...

Is the LCD-flip mode switchable? Can you turn the flip mode off, without re-updating firmware?

Anyway, jollyrogerxp, what do you think about that idea? Possible?

I guess it depends on exactly how the color balance is managed in the camera; if it is part of the image processing stages that the VIC HDV performs (for which we have firmware) then it might be possible, if instead it is something that the Digic DV II processor performs based on some commands/data, then it is hard/impossible.
It would take me some time to identify where these operations are performed, but I guess if I manage to find precisely where gain and white balance are managed, then I should have a decent idea of how hard rgb color control would be.

but when shot movie with PAL system and downloaded that movie, i find interlacing in movie. i thought it must have gone with pal system selected
pal if you not shoot in HDV25p is interlaced. I can confirm from hv30 pal original
