Default Fifty People, One Question: Brooklyn

Is this posted here already? (this is not my project)
Man this is the best HV20 involved concept that I've seen. By Benjamin Reece

That was pretty cool. It made me feel happy & sad at the same time. A few comments. Sometimes it feels like people shoot out of focus just because they can. Do they hand out those big glasses when you arrive in Brooklyn? Finally, I wish they had included a few more comments. Oh well, always leave them wanting more, right. Two thumbs up.

Just to add, the others are gripping as well. The guy with cancer is heartbreaking and hits pretty close to home. My favourite is actually from the website, which also asks "Where would you like to wake up tomorrow?". One person posted “as a 7 year old girl, when life was innocent and i was happy.” As a parent of a 7 year old, although I often worry what the world will be like for him, I also wish I could live in his world for a day, without the worries and cynicism that adulthood brings. It might make an interesting thread for the pub.

I thought this was pretty cool while watching and listening to all the participants answers. But there was a real sad moment for me listening to the young boy talk about wishing to wake up in the graveyard with his family viewing his slain father's tombstone. All I can say is wow...

Yeah, I hear you. You'll see a few glib answers, then one that just rips your heart out. It's so real - man, can you feel his pain or what? There's a moment like that in his other NY one and in his New Orleans one. I see a lot of stuff linked to Vimeo here that is all about guns & violence and if that's your thing, fill your boots. For me, though, this is the best I've seen linked - both from the technical side and the subject / material side. Absolutely compelling.

Excellent - I've gotta do something like this.

    Good job!

As usually real people are PURE poetry.

I really loved it. Above a few tech details, for me the "inside" of your video does it man.
    Plus the music.

    Great. really.

I really liked it too. There were some very sad moments, but it was very uplifting. There is one moment where a woman asked if it have to be a real place...I love her response. The music was perfect for this piece too.

I like Ben Reece's stuff. But I have to be honest, the original one he did in New Orleans was far better. I'm just not seeing this thriving as a franchise. If I would have seen this one first, I would have been more impressed. But having seen the New Orleans one first a few months back, I wasn't really taken by this one. I mean, he did an awesome job as usual, but I think they should have left the New Orleans masterpiece to stand alone.

    Just my $0.02 of course.
