    Default Do the Damn Thing

Hey guys. I've got a new short up. It was a dumb, spur-of-the-moment sorta thing. It was something that just kinda happened while taking a break from working on a bigger project.

This is also the first video I've shot entirely using HD 60i on my Canon HV20. And although I down-converted the HD footage to SD while capturing, it still looks way better than anything else I've ever done.

But yeah, take a look and tell me what you guys think.

Same for me. The screen size is so small it gave me a headache from eye strain. It's about 2" x 3.5", way too small for these old eyes.

Have you uploaded full screen anywhere?

Ha ha ha ha...nice. You should do a sequel where the nutkicker gets his A$$ whoopped.

I've seen some of your other fight stuff...you guys are great. Give us more.

The screensize was okay for me since Im working off a 32".

Wow man loved it lol the films on here seem to be getting better and better.
Can I ask did you shoot in 60i or 24p?

Im going to be doing an action film in the future and would like to know.

Hey thanks a lot for the comments everybody. The settings for color correcting were pretty simple. I raised the gamma, contrast, and saturation. Also, this was shot in HD60i, but I then rendered in 24FPS.

Here's a link to a full-size version (or at least, bigger version than the one posted)

hey can you explain the 60i to 24p conversion process or point me to a page that you used?? i've never done it before but after seeing this i'd like to try it out

Haha thanks. I'm actually not too proud of these fights in this short. Usually, I wouldn't try and cram in shooting an entire action scene with other scenes for any particular project. These were very rushed.

Oh, and what I would do for the 60i to 24 conversion is very easy. Just edit everything as you would for a 60i and then render out as 24FPS.

Incredible. Even though some of it was a little too dark, I thought the editing and shots were superb!

    This was awesome.
The audio had me confused at parts, it was real loud then real quiet.
But other than that I loved it.
    Great Job!

Thanks again everyone. Yeah, the first part of the shoot we were using an external mic (Canon DM-50) I removed it as soon as we started shooting the action scenes as just used the HV20 mic. I forgot to adjust the volume after I removed the DM-50
