Trouble Getting HV30 Recognized on Macbook Pro
I just bought an HV30, I own a new Macbook Pro, 4G Ram, 2.8ghz, fast, new computer.
I installed the Digital Video Solutions disk and the three programs are now on my dock, "image browser", "Camera Window", "EOS Utility"
I connect the HV30 with a 9pin to 4 pin firewire.
I get a "no camera detected" message. I have reinstalled the software.
iMovie detects the camera and I can see an image with it.
I have tried switching to DV mode, still no recognition by the Canon Software.
Granted, I don't have an SD card or tape in the camera yet, but that's because I just got the camera yesterday, but would that be relevant to the software even detecting the thing?
Thanks for your help
