Default My first HV20 attempt! "Mann Im Park"

    Hey Folks,

Here's my first attempt with the HV20. Great little camera. I did some
colour grading and sound design. Just wanted to try for a 'mood' with my
    pal Tim.

I downconverted it to 720p and de-interlaced the clip.

You'll have to delete the ".txt" at the end of the clip to watch it.

    Nifty!

Did you use a 35mm adapter, or was that just the HV20 lens?

What program did you edit with?

Very well composed and colored. And the sound design added a great mood to it.

    Hi,

I didn't use an adapter. Shot it in daylight, so I had a thin depth of field. I shot the footage in 24p in "Cine" mode.

I used Final Cut Pro to edit/colour correct it. I used HDVxDV to load in the footage to the Apple Intermediate Codec.

The sound design was fun, I made the "music" myself with a little bit of canned sound and my trusty MOOG synths.

Either way, someday, someone is going to make an amazing feature film with these little cams.

Absolutely. However, it's the script I want to get right.

The HV20 footage I shot was just to help inspire me. Once you get
the mood right, it's amazing how quickly the story will fall into place.

Also, I wanted to see how my pal Tim would photograph (He's the guy
in the shot). He was particularly angry/enraged that day, so I was
fortunate to capture it with the HV20.

Dang framecut.....that was actually intense. LOL...it was very moody...he did look pissed..and those colors. I like the "click" and the airy music....the clip was only so many seconds long but it looked very filmic..ummm....give us some more..

Then there is that slow look upward...as if...he was expecting someone..then..."click"....dang....it was cut short...more...more..

    Hi Ian-T,

Thanks for the great reception. It being my first time contributing to
HV20.com and all. I'd like to thank others here who've posted their own
clips. It's directly because of these clips/forum that I ran out and got
    my own HV20.

I'll see if I have anything else to post. My friend (On camera) was in a real
dark mood that day, so I just kinda followed his path. To be honest, I was still trying
to figure out all the options/customizations with that camera (It really
is amazing how much you can tweak that thing!)

    Nice, including the sound design.
