Ziongraphics, thanks for the feedback. Dont worry, you can tighten the locking screws
till it is rigid, just remember not to over tighten. The Elite model is heavier and this has worked well, better than securing it with electrical tape. I stuffed newspaper into the front to keep the front condenser lens from popping out. The shipping guys usually throw the box about and I had previous cases of the lens coming off. You can use a can of compressed air to blow the dust away.

Greg, can you post the resolution of your monitor on your blogspot page-a little more info would really help us.

Any chance we can see those 8mp images of the screen please?
Again, hosting the image via Yousendit of Megaupload would work.

I made modifications to the rails support system now it is even more secure and stable. I used to use nylon screws to tighten the rods but now I changed it to the clamp style. Check out the pics. The old design is the black acrylic. The new design is the transparent one.

One of my customers that bought the gt35pro Elite from one of my ebay auctions and compared it to the Redrock M2. Too bad he didn't do a full comparison.

Dear greg_tay67,Just a quick note to say hi and thanks for the 35mm adaptor (Elite). It arrived last week with the rods coming this morning. I think UK customs had a bit of a bash around with it as the front lens looks like it had been pushed out. A quick wipe of the fingerprints and a dab of hot glue and all was fine.Must say, I am impressed by the adapter as a whole and it supplies images easily on a par with the redrock M2 unit I usually hire. I'll be recommending you to the other folks I know and work with around Scotland.
    Thanks again
    Chris Gormlie.

Rumple, I am getting a sample of a new higher rosolution monitor which can also flip. This monitor will be the standard video rez 640x480. I think this should help focus better. I also need to build that 1/4 inch threaded hole and glue it on the monitor as it doesn't come with one, not like the current one which comes built in. Will keep you all informed.

    Any idea on price?
My current monitor is pretty useless!

    Hey Greg,

Got two questions about the Elite version

    1. Is your adapter compatible with bad macro cameras like the Canon XHA1?

    2. Is your FD mount an EF mount with an added FD-EF conversion? I already have a HOYA FD-EF conversion mount I purchased on eBay a while back and don't want to pay extra if it's the same thing.

    Thanks!

Yes it is compatible with bad macro camcorders like XH-A1, Sony Z1/FX1
For the XH-A1, You might need to add an extra ring (which I will provide) to the adapter so It can focus properly. Works fine with Z1/FX1 as I own it. This is the reason I choose to stick with the macro tubes as it can be easily modified, dismantled, upgraded....

The FD mount is indeed the FD-EF. If you order the Elite you might want to send me your FD mount so I can adjust the back focus properly. All FD converters are not built the same so I will need yours.

    Default Brian Tyre's gt35pro HVX200

GT35pro Elite works great with the Panasonic HVX200. A customer's setup with GT-Viper rods support kit.

It will work with the FX1 but not the Letus extreme. This rods support kit is made for all DIY macro tube style adapters only. However I you give me the dimentions I can customize it for the Letus Extreme.

Very interested in this. Any news? I also am curious on price, I am considering the smaller one, but depending on the the price difference, I would wait for the higher rez version.

    thanks!

Here's the new GT Flip Focus 7 inch monitor sample I've been testing. Should be in next week. I've included pictures from the old and new model and there is a big difference in picture quality. This was shot without adapter, a reschart off my pc monitor. You can notice there is more horizontal resolution in the new monitor. Also I made a bracket to be able to mount on a tripod and my hotshoe adapter as well. The price of the old monitor was $199 without the shoe mount and the new monitor is $209 without the shoe mount adapter.

I sent you an email about your 5 micron GG focussing screens.
Any chance you can get back to me?

    Cheers,

    Hi Greg,

    Thanks for the reply.
    I'll check my mail now.

Thanks, but I'll not need a monitor. I have received my Ikan v5600 which I will be reviewing for the forum soon.

Rumple, I am working on a new ground glass which is finer than 5 micron. I don't know if it can be used. This will be very suitable for your static adapter. I think the 5 microns gg will not be suitable for use as static screens because the grain might be corser than the Canon EE screens.

Even finer than 5 micron?? Crickey... How small are we talking then?
    3 micron? 2?

How far have you got with it?
Why are you not sure if it can be used?
