Do you have to purchase the camera threads separately? Can you link to some videos of the advanced in use with an HV?

I'm not sure what you mean by camera threads. If you mean stepping rings, then , no, you dont have to buy any stepping rings. It is 43mm and it fits the HV20/30 right out of the box.
Footage and links can be found on my blog page. Mostly HV20 footage and some Sony FX1 clips

I've been asked many times what's the difference between my gt35pro Standard and Advanced version so here are the 2 test charts to show the difference. The Advanced version has close to no chromatic abberations and the Standard version has a slight touch more chromatic abberations at the edges than the Advanced version. You cannot see the chromatic abberations unless you zoom in to the picture 200 percent to notice it. Note that this is shot using my Digital Rebel 300D 18-55mm kit zoom lens at 50mm f5.0. Both version features very good edge to edge sharpness. The advanced version is also slightly brighter due to the multi coating on all sides of the glass in the achromat. The difference in picture quality is very small but there is a price difference of $75. For those who want the perfect picture quality, the $75 may be well worth it. Let me know that you guys think about this. View the test charts below

Hi Greg, just wondering if you still have this ready to ship? Would that shipping price cover shipping to Dublin, Irleand?

The unit available for immediate shipping has been sent for review since there were no takers at that time. I sent the unit with the new rod support system to http://www.scottsimmons.tv/blog/ for review.

By the way, the GT35pro Standard is now discounted but for a limited time only. The discount will last up to 15 December only. And also rod support purchase together with the GT35pro Standard will be $80 instead of the usual $95 so GT35pro Bundle with Rod support is now $345 plus $25 shipping and handling flat rate to all parts of the world. Normal price would be $380 without the discount and rods purchased seperately.

From today onwards, all versions will have a long awaited feature, a power on LED. Thanks to Wes Roberts for the feedback. The power module will now use a 9 volt battery. Those who still want a single AA battery can request for it but will not have the power LED.

    Default Mounting to Camera

How are the adapters attached to the cameras in these photos? Just a few more questions before I get rid of my last bit of trepidation and buy one.

    1) I have a DVX and an HVX, will the elite properly mount to both with and without the rail support?

    2) Is the elite backwards compatible? Meaning can I use it on my HVX then rig it for use with a little camcorder?

    3) The holder is seperate, is this not included in the elite package? What does it do and why do I need it.

Your footage looks great and I can't tell you how excited my team and I are to get our hands on this thing.

    Thanks,

The adapters are screwed on like you would do with filters or wide angle lenses. You need the gt35pro Elite for your camcorders. You don't need to use rails unless you want to use those old heavy zooms. But if you use it on your tripod you need to tighten the tilt up/down tightly. So your up/down motion is kinda fixed or you need to hold the handle all the time if you want the up/down motion. These are backward compatible but the Elite is a heavy adapter. I suggest you get the Advanced or Standard kit if you want to use with smaller camcorders. You just need to replace the back portion of the adapter which contain lenses. The middle and front portion holds the GG holder. This is included already so you need not bother about the DIY kit. Also the Advanced version has the best picture quality. My support rods are also discounted if you buy the adapter together. Let me know if you have any other questions. Email me at gt35pro@gmail.com

Hi, what's your email address. I have several orders pending so I need to check the paypal details. 3 adapters are going out today, one tomorrow then hopefully my stock will be refilled by end week as I've run out of some components.

Hi, I don't have footage of the Elite with HVX200 but here are samples of footage from my Sony FX1 with the gt35pro Elite. It is harder to build an adapter for the FX1 as it has a much wider angle than other camcorders in it's class hence bad macro capability.
