Either Filmwonder is ugly or Victor is gay. Sounds like BS to me, but it doesn't look like the solution we wanted anyway if you are stuck shooting in Cine mode all the time to use it.

If the assistant is female, who should be cast here? I say stick with Reeves. Also, the cinematographer seems to be working gigs beyond the HV30 realm. So put him lower down the food chain or change the camera

I think we can wrap up this thread, filmwonder is getting way too much oxygen.

Nobody in their right mind would betray someone's confidence by secretly taping them, nor would they post the entire 'transcript' verbatim (especially as the guy is supposedly worried about getting criminalised). A couple of salient lines would've sufficed. And nobody talks like that dialogue.

I've met people like this before, they spin these elaborate fantasies, incorperating bits of real information (checksums, risking a simple mod flash, the fact that someone said they were female) - probably just enjoying the temporary spotlight. Either way, there's nothing to scam here, nobody's getting money until a firmware hack has been verified working.

... but maybe (ironically) our fantasist is actually trying to encourage someone to risk flashing a modified firmware (oh no, I've given him a valid 'out' now )

Hey, leave Das Knu alone (that's what I call him).

    For me it's 'myth busted.'
Like most, I was skeptical... but open minded and entertained.
That alleged transcript of a 'real' conversation banged the final nail home. Isn't it interesting ho many people think that script writing is easy? It's a bit like singing or acting, a lot of people think that they're good.

    Well that script was woeful!
How about that line where Victor gives his card and says "it has my phone number and email address on it." Well the recipient can see for themselves what's on it and besides what else would be on it?

Nah, it's a fake alright. So filmwonder try this: transcribe a dialog form a movie and compare it to what you wrote and you tell me why your attempt has amateur written all over it.

And if they are shooting movie together, they should have shared their contact BEFORE shooting, not in some party after or in the middle of shooting

I hope she keeps posting here even though everyone's ousted her as a phony. I like how she totally ignores almost everything everyone says about her legitimacy, rather leaving that to Bob rossi haha.

let's keep this thread alive....we gotta get more details if this is going to be a viable script.

Man, this is amazing. Not only is the CineTog a film buff, he is a Super Genius programmer and coder who can decrypt firmware, and reprogram functions which even the WIKI hackers can't.

The CineTog part definitely has to be played by either Wile E. Coyote or Tom Cruise now.

Maybe he can "Mission Impossibly" hack the firmware with the following functions...
X Ray vision (for all the pervs)
Spot alien spacecraft in Area 51
    Detect politicians lies
    Turn Coke to Pepsi
Turn greedy Canon execs into lowly consumer cows.

Here are a few bullet proof plans...

HV30 (PAL, All Black no speckles) Twoneil Adapter, Nikkor-AIS 50mm f1.1.2, Nikkor-AIS 105mm f2.5, Redrock Micro Follow Focus, Cavision RPMD90 Rails, Bogen 503HDV.

That one's easy - you install a permanently lit red light. It won't be wrong often.

    Exclamation I confess!

OK, I have a confession to make.

I hacked mine to play out thermo-nuclear scenarios when I'm not shooting. It really eats through your batteries ...

Oh my GOD. I just laughed so hard that I nearly lost all control of my bladder and bowels. filmwonder is less convincing than Shaquille O’Neal was in “Blue Chips.” Fear not folks, this thread is far from over. I’ll post back later…..

PML, post of the century! I might be better off back in Africa if that scenario takes place... Or better yet, immigrate to Australia, they don't seem to have any enemies either. Lucky Lunchbox

Wow; I haven't heard dialogue as unconvincing as that Cindy & Victor scene since Paul Thomas retired from porn.

Sounds like Santa won't be putting hacked HV firmware in my stocking anytime soon! (Now, about that pony ...)

Well, you know... someone had to. I just couldn't let all those inaccuracies go.

Not to mention that in CA it is a felony to record a conversation, in person or over the phone, without consent of all parties. Just the act alone is illegal. Posting a transcript of it on the internet is an additional crime.

This has gotten ridiculous. Can somebody just ban B. Rossi, filmwonder and Vic Olam so we can be done with this.

There is no hacked camera. The picture posted was an obvious photoshop. If you've ever actually transcribed a real conversation you'd see how absurd this wrap party one is. Vic Olam is a member of these forums and last logged in moments before filmwonder first signed up here. Coincidence? No effing way.

Vic, as somebody who seems to want to work in the filmmaking world, you've chosen the wrong way to go about it. The indie film world is a pretty small place and most don't take kindly to people trying to scam others
