Add me to the list of FCP6 & HV30 HD Capture Issue

So first, yes I've searched. And no one seems to have a solution. Does anyone know why I cant capture to FCP? My dvx100 works fine, If i put my dvx footage into the HV30, the capture works, but i shot something with the hv20 and tried to capture that, it doesnt work.

I'm puzzled. Please help if you can.

are you setting FCP up for HD?
Go to easy set up, and choose HDV 1080i60

And make sure your camera is not set on DV Lock.

I just got my HV30 and am also having trouble importing to FCP (6).

I've got the easy setup correct. What's the DV Lock?

did you choose hdv for capture settings?

I finally got it going in FCP. It was the settings. There also was an extra setting I missed having to do with the frame rate. It was on something like "all" but I changed it to 29.?? (don't remember the exact number) and it found the camera.

my fcs is not recognizing my hv20 @ all. Im on a Hackintosh using OS X 10.5.4and now its always saying "Device is not connected or the capture preset is not setup correctly..... This might happen if you play DV footage ina HDV device."

I kno its HDV and it is hooked up correctly and still no logging. I tried damn near everything. Different setup connections, multpile firewire cables, etc...

Please help!!!!

I had this problem just a couple of days ago. I hit the reset button (behind the battery) on my HV30 and Final Cut was able to see it again.

I switched firewire inputs and restarted cmptr among oth things... reinstalled FCS and somehow it worked again. Painful ( 3days down) but finally got it working and communicating again. Alhumduliah!
