House Remodel: Patio Construction: 5500pics into video

I've been going through an Exterior House Remodel and here is my first go at Time Lapse:
i bought a Pentax W10 waterproof camera ($130 on amazon) set at 2mg each picture.... on a 2gb sd card. some days i set it at 1pic/min... other days i set it at 1pic/3minutes.. it all depends on how big the construction crew was on a given day....

5500 pics edited in FCE4 on a MBP17 2.5ghz: just under 3minutes in length....

real grainy, I'm trying to figure out FCE4 Export for vimeo....
there is more to come Siding, fascias, soffits & gutters, a few more windows and then landscape and new pool (but pool will have to wait till spring because Mother Nature is changing quickly here in Northern Michigan...

How did you setup the camera with the interval shots without moving it for battery changes? Or did you have a special mount?

The mounts are crude but effective (made of wood)... I have about 5-6 around the house and i have just one camera and move it to where ever they are going to be working on a given day.... I'll take some pics and get em up tomorrow.... also.. a 2gb card last about 4-6days depending how my ratio (pics/hour) the camera was set at i could usually put abou 1800pics or even up to 2400 pics per 2gb card... i did have to recharge the battery everynight just to be safe... i think there was a time when i got 2days out of the battery....(i forgot to bring it inside that night)
i have to say the camera takes some good pics and very detailed now i just have to figure out how to make it 16:9 in FCE4 and upload HD version on vimeo....

I wish I could find some builders who worked that fast!

(some of the ones I've seen need a time lapse shot to make them look like they're working at normal speed!)

I love timelapses, there is always so much going on. Because of the energy and weather issue I normally only shoot them from open windows, I'm too scared I'd mess up the angle when I'd really have to touch them to recharge or to change the memory card. o_O

Make a project that is 1280x720 and don't forget you can only post one HD video on Vimeo per week.
