Default My DIY Static 35mm Adapter with great results!!!!

This is the 5th attempt to do a 35mm static adapter (I still have faith in the static model) I used a Canon Ee-a Focusing screen. Here is the video showing how to make the adapter with cheap materials:

Here is some footage from the same adapter in low resolution

An here is a diferent footage with full resolution...

just rememeber that it is a static adapter but the results are minimal vigetting and almost no grain...
Tell me what you think about it
I just bought my HV20 but Im not ready with my footage with this adapter...(still working in some corrections for the adapter using special plastic holders)

Keep it up. I am still perfecting my static adapter that will rival some of the best DOF adapters around and give great footage. Good luck!

tkmslee: that baby is so cute! how old is he? mine is 2.5 months old.

would you mind sharing a bit about your lighting techniques in this thread?

Sorry, don't mean to hijack this thread.

    RE: STATIC adapters
It seems as long as a person keeps their focussing screen super clean, as in dust free, that the quality can be amazingly beautiful.
Of course, vignetting can be an issue for any kind of dof adapter.

    Great job DRjass

I have given up with static adapters as grain and dust are virtually impossible to eliminate. Unless you are certain the screen is dust-free when/if you seal it, then you will always have dust issues.

That said, tkmslee yours footage was very nice. Nothing like a baby to change your outlook on the world.

hehe, thats my birthday. good job on both your adapters, i think im going to start off making myself a static adapter, and if it gives me too much trouble (due to the dust issue) i will just go to the vibrating one
