Video Gain & Artifacts

I've had the HV30 for almost a month.

I'm quite familiar with video gain when shooting in low light situations, however, I'm noticing pixel-sized drop out artifacts in low light. They occur mostly in the blacks and look like white specs that flick on and off--randomly.

They are decreased significantly when I'm in manual exposure... but settings need to be to zero gain.

Does everyone else have white drop out artifacting? Or do I have a 'special edition'?

Also, has anyone noticed a square yellow pixelation (about 4 pixels sq.) at the end of a lens flare?
