I hope they don't. I am hoping to see some maturity and sanity prevail in the form of regulation of international trade and economics.

Lassez faire economics and the subsequent exploitation of people, materials and the environment has cost all of us dearly. We need ethical business practice.

And confectionery, as apparently during hard times that is the one commodity for which sales are constant; 'mood food'.

It might be well to remember that it took the stock market 25 years to recover from the last great depression (i.e. before it reached the same dollar value it had in 29). We may not have one, it may not last that long, but no one really knows. The recent Japanese crash (which has some interesting parallels to what the USA is going through now) lasted 10 years (at least).

Recently GM had a lot of assets. Yet It may be delisted from the Dow before the years end as things are going now. But hey, I'm a dystopian and even stopped clocks are right twice a day. At least this time my pessimism has been of some personal benefit LOL.
A government that either cannot or will not protect its people from the abuses and depredations of large corporations needs be overthrown by its people. Inspired by Thomas Jefferson.
