    Spare batteries and charger, maybe?

You'll need some blank tapes anyway — I'd go ahead and get a cleaning cassette of the same brand (though I think one is probably plenty for starters).

I'd probably go ahead and get a polarizing filter, a cleaning kit and a lens cap too.

Well, the stock battery holds barely enough juice to get through one tape (assuming you spend very little time setting up your shot). Then it's back to the wall socket for an hour or two to recharge.

I have a couple of these (also available from HV20.com Admin Lunchbox) that last me all day in most cases.

The camera can charge the batteries, but maybe you'd rather use it for other stuff (like playing back your tapes for computer capture, or more shooting) — a combo wall car charger is worth getting, IMHO.

but can't i just be patient/lazy and charge the battery with my camera and then charge the battery that comes with the camera as a backup battery?

Mr. Hyperactive Jr., have you taken your Ritalin recently?

Sorry, ADHD-boy, you're now moderated and all your posts will first have to be approved by a moderator.

You were warned both by PM and in post no. 7 in this thread not to double post stuff, yet you did just that again in a different forum.

    Time to go to bed!

    WalMart.com - $769.84
(if you or someone you know works there, they can get their 10% discount on top of that price)
IIRC, you don't have to pay shipping either, if they deliver it to a store near you.

I got a Targus tripod at Radio Shack, I think it was < $40. 66" with a 7LB capacity. What more would you need? If my HV30 weighs 7lbs, I should probably dump the water out of it.

Still think it's a good deal?

although you're annoying, demanding, and impatient, i think you should get the soft case with a strap. It's much more convenient and comfortable to carry around. You can still shoot with the bag on your shoulder. If you're alone, how will you shoot while carrying you're 200lb hardcase? Just a thought.

ps. stop demanding answers instantaneously. No one HAS to answer anything. Everyone's here to help.

what kind? i really want something with a good amount of storage space, and i need it to be shockproof and waterproof. If you know one can you then post the link? (preferrably adorama but if it is cheaper from a place that is reliable then post it)

    Thanks,

if you looking for a cheap wideangle i would choose the raynox dcr730 http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/produc...0_7x_Wide.html

its sharp even with full zoom and anything better would be like double the price. however you need a 43mm to 52mm step up ring.
if you buy smth. of b&h take the link through this site (on the top of the page)

    regards

Why is anybody even bothering to spoon feed this kid? He's obviously a hand wringer and one, judging by his spoiled rotten temperament, not going to appreciate the hand holding anyway.

He already said his parents are too cheap to buy him the camera outfit he wants so, why is anybody wasting their time with this ingrate?

More respectful and appreciative people have asked 1 or 2 simple questions and have been admonished to do a search. Why is this kid any different?

Oh that's right. The world IS all about him.

This thread was rightfully closed and IMHO, should have stayed that way until junior learned some manners.

    Jeez!!

But you guys can waste your time indulging him however you want. I just don't get it.
I know enough to know what works ... at least until it blows up. Then I know it don't.
