but my material is in adult in nature...and is copyrighted so will this be a problem
already called on place and they said they dont do adult material

So um.. I probably don't want to ask this since I assume you was shooting a porn and the answer to this could possibly be a scary one, but, How exactly did you accidentally break the tape? lol.
You could probably use some clear tape maybe? make sure to match it up as perfect as possible. Not sure with miniDV though. I know I did that to a cassette tape when I was a kid and it played after.

Just glue it together with just a touch of glue, let dry. Clear tape will clog the heads. The cassette has built-in spool brakes to prevent tape from unwinding, so be careful. You need to disengage the brakes to pull tape out.

the thing broke when i purchase a small rewinder just for that purpose to rewind my tapes..and it snaped

Since the tape end is inside the shell your only alternative is to open up the shell. Either you or another company.
Most of those shells are sealed by vibration / heat. If you trace the edge with a razor or exacto you can pop them open, but then you have to reseal it to play the tape when the splice is done. Fortunately you only need to play it one time to capture the whole thing.
The good thing is that along the spine there is an indent that is meant for a label. You can tape the shell together there and super glue the side edges. That part works well.
Clear tape does hold audio tape together, but will cause a drop out on video tape. Plus it doesn't wrap on the heads well and sometimes gets glue on the heads. (Been there, done that.)
I haven't tried taping the two tape ends directly together. You'd lose a tiny gap of time that way due to overlap, but that should work. I'd be tempted to superglue it, leaving a full 24 hours to make sure it dries.
I don't know what city your in, but there are other companies in Southern Calif.

Why does the content matter if you just want the tape fixed? Does one even need to view the tape to fix it? Are they afraid they're going to get herpes just from touching it?
Happened to me as well . . . Opened up the shell and found the parts so flimsy, that I did not glue the tape. I think it happened, when I pressed the lid, when it was rewinding.
Another suggestion. Just buy yourself a new tape and do the shoot again! If you let me be the talent, I am willing to give you a new tape for free.
