Default mixing 30p/24p wiht 60i in the same premier pro project

I am editing with premier pro CS3. Does anyone know whether I can import and mix together clips in different formats (HDV24, HDV30, and HDV60) in the same project?

    Which Timeline Preset to use?
In the same project, if you have footages in 60i and 30p (or 50i and 25p), which timeline preset to be used?

    Things to remember,
    - 30p/25p footage can be edit in 60i/50i timeline no problem
    - 60i/50i footage can be edit in 25p/30p but you need to deinterlace the 60i/50i footage. You can do so by right clicking the clip on timeline and choose "Field Options"
    - For which timeline to use, pick the format with most of the footage frame rate you shot in. If the majority of footage is 60i/50i, then use a 60i/50i timeline.
    - Or, you can think of what's your target output is. If it's for TV/DVD, 60i/50i timeline will be better. For computer/web, 30p/25p timeline will be bette

Thank you very much for the guidelines.

I have a 60i "movie" - I want to add more video to it, but would like to shoot the new footage in 30p because I get better low-light performance.

Will I be able to easily add the new 30p clips to the 60i movie, in a 60i timeline preset?

Sorry to be so ignorant about this.

    Rick.

How would 30p footage do in 24p settings for rendering? and vise versa (spl chk)?

In the future, try searching the forums before posting a question. This subject has come up many times and the answer is already in here. There is also a dedicated 24p workflow subforum you should check out. Welcome to the forum.
