    Default getting an almost completed project to Vegas from Premiere

    Well, i did most of my editing in premiere, but i just got vegas because it apparently exports with better results. What's the best way to get my premiere project to Vegas with minimal/no quality loss? thanks guys.

    I think at this point your only option (if you really don't want your final product exporting from Premiere) is to export from Premiere uncompressed, then import it into Vegas, or use a third party encoder for your final. Vegas will not import Premiere project files.

    ok i cant. anyone know how to export uncompressed in premiere pro cs3?

    there was a thread with taky helping this guy out but he didnt seem too successful and taky mighta lost interest. anyway:

    i go file -->export--> movie.

    then its just the settings here on out that it gets confusing.

    under General, i selected "Uncompressed Microsoft AVI"

    yet under Video, there's an option of what kind of Compressor you want. The two compressors to choose from are 10 bit YUV4:2:2 and the same thing but 8 bit.

    So if i selected uncompressed microsoft avi, why do i still choose a compressor? anyway, moving on thru the settings.

    still under Video, frame size: 1440x1080
    frame rate 29.97 (shot in 24p pulldown intact)
    pixel aspect ratio: HD Anamorphic 1080 (1.333)
    Data Rate: what should the settings be for data rate?

    now under Keyframe and Rendering
    Bit Depth: i chose maximum. correct? i dont know.
    Fields: No fields, progressive scan
    checked the "deinterlace video footage" box

    audio: uncompressed, 48000 Hz, 16 bit, stereo

    well thats it, if anyone has any input on ANY of these settings to get an uncompressed file, much appreciated. thanks anyone.
