Default A freakin' dumb question about a mic accessory

You know those little signboards that TV newscasters have mounted on their mics? They say "7" or "5" or what have you depending on the channel?

Well, does anyone know what those things are called and where I can buy one?

They are called mic flags, and B&H sells them, as does Markertek, or you can make your own. A long-handled mic is preferable vs. a shorter vocal mic.

Thanks so much! All I needed was the word "flag" to get a wealth of info from the Internet.

But B&H blanks are looking good.

    Thanks again.
