I recently let a friend of mine borrow my HV30 to use as a deck, and while I use Panasonic tapes, he uses Sony. From reading on here about switching tapes, and flat out paranoia, I'm concerned with whether that was a good idea..

so my question is should I run a tape head cleaner before I resume use?
how bad is mixing Sony and Panasonic?
