Default setting transition for multiple clips in sony vegas?

My 1 hr recording session is captured into 50 m2t files onto computer. I put them on the timeline of Sony Vegas. Now, I want to put transition and fade in/out between each clips in Sony Vega.

Is there any way to do it automatically? Let say I want to set 5 secs fade-in and 5 secs fade-out and the same transition for all 50 clips. Is there anyway to do it?

So far, I have to set manually each fade in/out and transition. For 50 clips, it is a time-taking task.

In Vegas Pro, you write a VB or C# script.

Im a little confused on the question. You want to put a fade in and fade out on each clip - but also a transition? Wouldn't the fade in and fade out be your transition? Anyway - I think you can set in preferences how you want multiple clips to be loaded. I don't know if it works with 'fade-in' fade out - but it does with over-lapping. I do a lot of photo (slide show) type stuff and load about 50 pics in at a time with automatice overlaping (disolve) set to 6 sec in preferences.

I drag 2 edges of the clip to create fade in/out area; then I drag transition style (page peel, page flip, zoom...) into these areas. I have to do it manually for each clip. That is what I meant.

How do you do automatic ovelapping (disolve)? When I load a bulk of 50 clips at the same time using open menu, Vegas load them all and lay them out on the timeline in continuos timeline. Could you please show me how to do it?

Go to the Sony Vegas site, and go to downloads. They have an API doc there, and there are quite a few scripts over at JetDV.com to download and learn from.
