I just noticed that Ted Chung and his movie "A Thousand Words" is in the top 15 finalists for the competition.

I was told that the top 15 finalists get $10,000 a piece to shoot another movie.

We had a film in the festival that also was one of the 15 semi-finalists. Aside from our film (of course) I loved this film the best. It is charming and extremely clever without being cute or "too clever by half". Elegantly shot.
I'm really looking forward to what he does for the festival itself when we see the film that the $10k award paid for.
