Default 2 [-] characters on burned bluray disk

After burning to 25 GB TDK BD-RE there are two dashes on video. There were not any dashes on the original mpeg-2 video from HV-20 captured file. On the same BD there is a video captured from an old DV camera and there are no dashes. When I play it in PS3 dashes are there. Also I captuered in Vista instead of Roxio and dashes come after burning.
    Is it from?
    1.Camera (not likely)
2.Tape (Eliminated). As of 5/25/08 I know two dashes are not from the tape because it is also on live captured video burned on BD-RE.
    3. Vista
    4.BD player/recorder firmware
5.BD media (not likely because from other sources there are no[-]s
6.Roxio Creator 10 bluray version. I suspect this is the problem.

No meaningfull help from Roxio or Dell and it is driving me insane.

Anyone can eliminate some of the problem sources listed above so I can act accordingly please. Thanks in advance.

I am trying to eliminate the burning software MyDVD as a problem. I am looking for a trial version of any BD burning software. Anyone?

It would help if you post a screen shot so we know what the heck you are talking about..............

It could be your play back hardware / software?

You can do a basic authoring of Blu-Ray with TsMuxeR (free) and burn the file structure with Nero or IMGburn (free) using UDF 2.50

    Thanks racer-x

attached are pictures you wanted to see.
    1. HV-20 video capture playing with WMP before burning taken with snipping tool. No dash marks.
    2. after BD burning playing with dell media direct which is Dell's bluray player. It did not let me to save with snipping tool so I took the picture with my photo camera. Two dash marks circled in red.
Today I will borrow my friend's sony HD camera and burn on the same BD media. if problem continues It will eliminate HV-20 and I will concentrate on software and burner firmware right?
It can not be my playback hardware or software because as I mntioned in my original post the same dashes show playing in my PS3.
Looks like the same problems that we had when the first DVD burners came.
I had a sony DRU-500A $349.99 (I kept the box) 2xdvd-rw, 2.4x dvd+rw , dvd -r 4x, dvd+r2.4x with the same bad software. Then sonic mydvd now called roxio mydvd.

It may very well be as simple as the S/W media player you're using. Try playing them on another player. The KMPlayer is free and should be able to play the files directly.

I get something like that now and then on Nero Showtime. It usually clears up when I shut it down then play it again.

Default the problem is HV-20 related

Isolated the problem further. I used my friend's sony HDR-SSR1 HDD camera burned the M2TS file on the same BD-RE with the same software and hardware: nothing was changed. And guess what no dashes on the BD video.
So I narrowed it down to only 2 possibilities.
1.Blue ray burner must update the driver or
2.Roxio MyDVD has a problem burning mpeg files from HV-20.
I will get a new bluray burning software and resolve this issue(dashes on BD video.
