After Effects workflow

hello just wanting to clear some issues with imported footage from my PAL HV20, to import if the footage is shot in PF25, I use premiere CS3 preset HDV 1080 25p settings(is this rite if the progressive shots are actually part of a 1080i container), and when I bring this footage into After Effects it claims it is upperfields first, now should I interprete the footage to no fields as it was done progressively, or should I leave it as it might actually be a prog image within a 1080i stream???
