    Default HDVSplit writing 0byte files

Someone posted a suggestion to use HDVSplit to rip raw DV streams to disk from the HV20. I'm running Vista, recording video but the resulting .m2t file always seems to be 0bytes.

    1. Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong here?
    2. What is a .m2t file? Some form of DV?

    Thanks

try turning off the Preview option. If not, close all app, unplug the camera and restart your computer.

m2t is MPEG-2 Transport Stream. It's just another form of MPEG-2.
