    Default specification DM50 mic

Where can I find detailed specifications of the canon mic?

What I'm really looking for, is a chart or a figure that shows the 'active recording field' in each different mode. (shotgun, Stereo-1, Stereo-2).

I know (think ) shotgun will be picking up sounds mostly directly in front of it, while Stereo-1 also pick's up sounds in a bit wider range, and Stereo-2 pick's up almost completely arround the mic. (and the back of it???)

I have my DM50 with the foam windshields that came with it, and also an extra Rycote mini windjammer (deadcat) specifficly made for the DM50.

I'll try to make some pictures soon...

I've been looking at Canon's website for the specs you're after, but without success. If they aren't included in your user's manual for the DM-50, perhaps contacting customer support would yield results.

On a (somewhat) related note, does anyone know if Canon's MA-300 dual-XLR adapter will work on the HV20? On Canon's website, they list its compatibility as follows:

    GL2
    XL H1
    XL2
    XL2 Body Kit

But it uses the same "Smart Accessory Shoe" as the DM-50 and the VL-3 video light, why wouldn't it also work on the HV20? Anyone have both to try?
