how can i get highest quality pal 3 min hd vid onto dvdr for ps3 using mac & fcp ???

i did a search and cant find help to get the highest quality hd onto dvdr using a mac with fcp etc onto a dvdr for ps3 playback,

if some kind soul would take pity on me and give me clear step by step instructions..

ive read the guides here , but dont answer my question.

i have a 3 and half min pop video i want to put onto dvdr and give to people so they get the same high quaiity i shot at if possible...

i use a mac, so no pc answers please .. thats all i found on this forum :-(

wow .. i thought some one here would know exactly step by step how to burn hd video onto dvdr to get the best quality watching on ps3...

maybe i was hoping for too much from these forums

WHOOPS......I just read that you need MAC answers. Unfortunately, I can't help you with that.

What software are you using to capture footage off the HV30? Final Cut Pro? What file format is it capturing in?

Have you just tried burning that file on a dvd to see if the PS3 will handle it?





ok...here is what you can do, if you just want to use RAW footage:

Capture the footage from the computer using HDVSplit.

Take the *.M2TS file and burn them onto the DVD-R

Pop the DVD into the PS3 and play.

I have done this and it works, as I was testing if the PS3 would play the *.M2TS files that HDVSplit captured.

NOTE:

On the PS3, you will have to use the XMB and go to VIDEO.
You will then see DATA DISC.
Menu to the right, and you should see the files that you burned on the disc.
