best buy on HD tapes?
Has anyone seen/found good deals on HDDV tapes?
Everywhere I go still only has the regular DV tapes.
Still searching online, but thought I'd check with the forum.
Thanks,
Greg

You can record HD with just regular DV tapes. The HD grade DV tapes are just something manufacturer wants you to believe so you will pay more. If you can afford, get Panasonic AMQ series MiniDV tapes. They are about $6-$7 a piece.

I run a small used CD & DVD store, and recently bought a HV20 for myself. Currently I am trying to find some editing software for it. But that is beside what I am posting about. The accesory distributor I use for some of our blank media, has listed DVC tapes. I never paid much attention to them before until I bought my HV20. I don't have much of a market for them in my store but if anyone here thinks they are a good price and are interested in them I would happy to order them for you.
This is what I can get:
Fuji - DVM-60 for $2.99 each
JVC - MDV-60DU
- MDV-60GR
- MDV-60TA for $1.99 each (and I don't really know what the difference is between the DU, GR, or TA)
Panasonic - DVM-60EJ/3P 3 Pack for $6.75
- DVM-60EJ/5p 5 Pack for $ 10.69
Sony - DVM-60 PR for $2.49 each
Let me know if these are good prices and if anyone would be interested in buying any.
