Yeah I know what you mean, The plans to mill parts at my ex-employer felt through, too many strings attached to that deal, So i tried someone else, i submitted drawings 2 weeks ago but i haven't heard anything so thats not a good sign, either job this small is not worth for him or he's too busy, So i'm about to order from another shop, Their ETA to me is 30 days, so at the very least were looking at a month away.
It is pretty sturdy, i mean, the only place there is even a remote amount of wiggle is the lens mount itself, so im not worried... well, its only a matter of time before the paint starts chipping, at which point i'll be sad.
i need to make a new handle mount for it though, i weighted it according to my massive 15-30mm lens, so when i put any primes like my 35mm or 50mm its so off balanced.
feel free to ask for pointers, its relatively simple i reckon.
i went out today to shoot some activity at our camps waterfront, sailors and windsurfers.. one of the boys who works here is a semi pro snowboarder and amazing windsurfer, we were in a 50hp boat wide open and couldnt keep up with him,
not to mention trying to keep him in focus, or even in the frame for that matter...
Jehu, sent you a PM and email but you haven't replied so I thought I'd post something directly here.
I'm interested in taking my cam to you. I'm about an hour away if anything. What's the ETA on the flip hack and adapter? Also, what's the exact total I'm looking at if you can do it? Let me know...Thanks!
I sent you an email, maybe it didn't go trough, i'll paste it here:
hi there, glad you, like my stuff.
to answer your questions
1- Hack switch is about 1" in front of the hot shoe, it hasn't gotten in the way of any hot shoe accessory. No glitches have been reported, i use in my camera and i haven't found any problems related to hack. Yes thats correct flip switch on to use dof, turn them off to use normal.
2- Yes drop off is available, Except, i've noticed that every time clients come by, half a day goes by spent answering questions and explaining how i built them and so on..... i'm having trouble meeting the 10 day built time so i cant afford to fall behind and not fair for clients to wait longer than promised. So please understand that i can't do a while you wait kind of thing.
3-Somewhere around 10 days, i've been able to keep it arountd that, sometimes a little sooner sometimes a little longer.
4- yes thats looks correct 275+50=325
Hope this helps
I sent you a PM, just going to post here just in case you didn't receive it. I know you're probably swamped.
I ordered the bundle and since the lenses are out of stock I was wondering what would happen with my bundle? Will I have to wait until July 20th to get the lens? And also has my bundle shipped?
Thanks.
Mitch
Jehu, sounds good. Can you email me at itsme@dynomike.tv with your contact information? I have a wedding to shoot this Friday and may try to arrange a drop off with you in the next week or two. Looking forward to hearing from you and having a new Jag35!
Hey Jehu - I'm not able to be online much right now but ... If you haven't sold your hacked hv20, I'll take it. You can email me but I might not see it today, or you can call me. I left my fone number in an email to you a few minutes ago.
Thanks for showing me how to align my dof ... And thanks for all the help!

hey jehu, Do you know if your adapter will fit in the indifocus upside down rig ( http://hv20.com/showthread.php?t=8827&page=13 )? is there any room to screw it down with? Thanks!
Edber, Consider your World Rocked!!! I figured a way to make an FD version of the JAG35, so JAG35fd? will that work.
Ok found a super cheap way to do it, using a cap, not the best way because its plastic but hey my EF lens has plastic ears too, so plastic should be fine caps last quite a bit.
Only bad thing is that this is an FD only JAG you can not use other lenses unless there is a fd-nikon or fd-ef rigns or other converters out there.
In other News, in the never ending search of cheaper, smaller, lighter JAG I have decided to stop using the telephoto tripod support, It makes the JAG 4.5 oz lighter, from 12 oz to 7.5 oz. The smaller diameter feels nicer while hand holding it . I will start shipping unit like this starting now. I have 10 tele tripod brackets left, just in case some of you would rather have it on your JAG, just let me know and i'll install it on yours.
Also i decided to put the battery box on the side, it works much better. This set up is under 2lbs (camera+dof+lens) definetly no rods required

Jehu.........
This is Calvin.......sent you the money order awaiting you reply.......I also sent you the tracking Number please let me know whats going on....
Just wondering if you got my PM. As I would like to know the status of my order (2 and a half weeks ago). I also ordered a lens before you ran out and was wondering if I had to wait until July the 20th...
I sure hope not.
Mitch
Hi jehugarcia! Your adapter producers very nice results and i would love to purchase one off you, but i have a Sony HC3. With the right step up rings etc, would this adapter work for my camera?
Hi Jehu,
firstly, the Parcel tracker says it has arrived in the UK... soon get it!
You mention that the new adapters don't have the tele tripod brackets, does that mean that the older ones (my version) will need some kind of support?
or could I take the bracket off the unit?
thanks!
Jay
Oh you are asking if JAGs shipped until now required support?
No not really, even with the tripod ring, the adapter only weights in at 12oz.
As long as you don't attach a big heavy telephoto lens to it you should be fine using it without support rods.
The battery box is screwed to the tele tripod ring so if you were to remove the tripod ring you would have to unscrew box from it and screw it to the body of the JAG. Otherwise you would have dangling box.

How much is shipping to UK? How long is delivery to UK and also, how many stops of light does this adapter lose? Thanks
Just got my camera back, the flip hack is great! I recommend to anyone that is thinking about it. The 25 micron gg is also very slick. I'll post some video clips soon.
jehugarcia, if i'm not mistaken, the measurements on your drawing don't include the tele tripod ring?
So, the indifocus rails will work with or without the tripod ring?
Thanx
those pictures of the updated JAG looks very nice jehu.
any news or ETA on the milled parts?
Keep up the great work!

Wow, someone is going to get a bargain !!
Three questions:
1) Can the screen be replaced in these units for a better (non-marked) screen ?
2) Do the standard JAG units have an achromat ?
3) How are you getting along with my unit ?
