Hey all,

Just wondering what is the best tool to use to create a nice catchlight in the eyes (specular highlight). I did some searching and came up with ring lights and an iPhone app called "Catchlight". Not sure if those will hold up to the task on a "real world" film set. I'm trying to find something that won't affect overall lighting but will still be able to catch the eyes. Should I go with snooting a fixture?

I noticed that highlights are blowing out when I render to less than blu-ray quality.

This mostly occurs for sidewalks and clouds, Both of which show to be properly exposed on my editing timeline but when I render using .mp4 and even 1080p 10 mbit/sec, I notice that the highlights get destroyed by this rendering.

Can anyone give me advice on using zebras to properly expose? I like to use zebras at 95%, so does this mean I should use a lower like 70%. To take account the data lost in the rendering?

I find that exposure is the most difficult task of filmmaking and what causes most brainpower when I'm filmming... Do you agree? Can anyone recommend me any books with regards to the subject?
