Hello All,

I got a Canon HV30 off eBay a few months back and yesterday I noticed a strange mark on the footage while playing back what I'd recorded over the weekend. I then looked back and noticed that the mark had always been there and I just hadn't noticed it. I can't see any marks on the lens, I've cleaned it with a soft cloth and re-tested. I also ran a tape cleaner through last night and no change. The mark doesn't show up on the lcd screen or the viewfinder.

I've attached two pics showing the annoying blob.....or I'm being followed by a UFO ;)

Has anyone come across something like this and could advise if this is a problem with the sensor or anything else?

Many thanks

Andy

Specifically, Des Moines, Iowa. I can't find jack online about it. Help?
Specifically, I plan to shoot at the end of a deserted dead end public road that was disconnected thanks to newer bypasses. Land around it is private, but the dead end is a public road and couldn't possibly annoy or cause problems for anyone as the nearest house is a mile away. It is blocked at the back end, and very little traffic go past it, and there is NOTHING anyone has to get to down this road... no businesses, no houses, no fields access.

Hey guys.

I recently had the pleasure of directing a short form documentary about my good friend Dean Zulueta, a 17 year old DJ living here in Fernley, NV under the performance name of "Houdini". The short was something I did both as an experiment with the format, and an exercise in learning Adobe Premiere Pro (which I'll be switching to from my old editing platform here shortly). If you'd like to give the video a watch and let me know what you think, it'd be much appreciated.

Also of note; I'm trying to get exposure for both DJ Houdini and the video by getting it posted to the front page of his favorite blog, DJ Tech Tools. They use a system by which posts can be suggested by members, who can then vote on what they think is worth writing about. If you'd like to take a moment to head over there and vote for the video, all you have to do is enter your email address. If you're feeling particularly generous, the site will allow you to submit up to 3 votes towards any one idea, so if you could click on the "3 Votes" option, it'd make our job of getting noticed a hell of a lot easier. Here's the link for that: http://djtechtools.uservoice.com/for...old-dj-houdini

Thanks to all,
However when
loading the the same images on vegas pro 8 it shows black screen . This isn a recent phenomena
I had successfully edited .mov (QT) from the same camera video before in pro 8 .
did I set anything wrong?! any help?
I have closed the trimmer window ( which sometimes prevent video to be seen) .
My set up is :
Dell windows 7, and another xp ( they both show the same problem.
Canon pewreshot g12
Anyone tried this?
