Has anyone had any experience building an adapter for the HVX200?

I have an HVX200 at work (replaced our Canon XL1 last year, although I still have the XL1 as a backup camera). I have to say this is by far my favorite camera I have used to date. The image quality is outstanding and the workflow with the P2 cards and a portable P2 hard-drive I purchased is fantastic.

Anyway, I'd like to achieve a shallow depth of field. As of now I do this by pulling my subject away from the background, opening the apeture all the way, and zooming in...works well for some cases, but not so well when I'm in cramped locations...

I am looking at a DIY adapter because the budget for my department is currently slim...so no professional solution, I also have seen some amazing footage from the DIY adapters. I personally like a slight vignette and overall softness to my video. I think it would complement the type of work i do very well.

BTW I am a fan of the HV20/HV30 and I plan on purchasing one for my home use and freelance endeavors.
