Workflow using Vegas (PAL)

Hi,

If there is anyone out there with a PAL HV20 using Vegas 7 can you please share with me your work flow. I am especially interested in the differences between tape shot in HDV and HDV (PF25). What project settings do you use? What format do you export as?

Thats exactly what I also want to know. I don't know what project setting I should use. I can't select HDV 1080-25p (1440x1080) 25,fps. It's not available. Richard08 did you made any progress here?

Hi guys
If you select the HDV 1080-24p (1440x1080, 23.976fps) template you can then change the Frame Rate to 25.000(PAL) and save this as a custom template for future use.

Im confused about this.

Should the properties be set to 50i since the 25p is stored in fields? OR should it be set to 25p (ie no fields/progressive source)? What would the effect of telling vegas that its progressive? Would it only work with half the fields/loose half the resolution?

hv20 doesn't output progressive files. 50i for pal 25p.
