Was wondering if anyone knew how or what program would allow me to shoot in BLACK & WHITE and incorporate a certain color into the video (i.e. having a totally black and white shoot and the only color showing is red... or yellow... etc).
Is this possible on an novice level?

In Premiere, it's a filter called Color Pass.

Here's a tutorial

Get a little prog called adobe premiere
And then use something called color pass.
Make sure that what you want to show is the only thing of that color in the shot.
The real object can be any color, just use color replace to then change the color to what you want.

Bottom line.. you don't shoot in black and white. Shoot in color, then remove all the colors you don't want. ;)

In Vegas it's the secondary color corrector. And on jetdv.com there's a tutorial on how to pass more than one colour.
