Vegas settings for 24p?

I would like to edit my m2ts from the camera in vegas, and at the last step run the video through hv20pulldown.exe to output as 24p. So in editing, what settings would I use for my timeline? 60i or 24p? Would I select "progressive scan" in field order when editing even though it's not progressive until after editing?

Don't choose progressive scan you should choose "Upper Field First." You are on a 6oi timeline. You should render the frame rate at 29.970.
