setting hv20 to edit imovie

how do I set the hv20 so that it does not film in HD - only have the plain imovie program to edit and the way I have the camera set now the editing program imovie puts it into letterbox format - do not want this - I'm hoping I only have to set the camera differently but am unsure how to do this

Turn it to camera mode, press the Func key, enter the setup menu and there is an option there to film in HDV, HDV Cine Mode, DV widescreen, or DV 4:3
