Do I need to buy a hood for these two accessories?

Do those screw right on to the lens or do I need a hood to slide them in?

I admit I know nothing about this stuff. I'd be ashamed to ask this question if I had any pride left.

They screw right on the front of the lens, not a huge deal but you may want to look at B +W brand instead of Hoya. A bit better glass, and BH carries both of those filters as well. I just ordered both in B+W brand.
