Yeterday the condensation lamp wend on and I followed the instructions to keep open and remove the cassette. I am in Thailand 34 degrees outside and AC inside. After waiting a few hours the camer a seem to record correctly but I cannot operate the rewind to view the results and the function button does not work to allow me to access the menu and the joy stick functons . This is only in the tape position. It seems to be ok in the card position.
Anyone have any idea on this??

There's a way to reset the camera completely. Try that?

Tried that no help. E-mailed Cannon who stated probably are hardware problem and to send it in when I return. Still under warranty
Any other people have hardware problems?

I had mentioned I was in Costa Rica on my 3rd or 4th day of a 3 week trip and my Brand New Sony TRV-950 went into Moisture mode as soon as I opened my car door. It was incredibly humid and the change from the AC inside the car to the heat was too much. Nothing I tried could revive it.
Sadly but fortunately I had brought a Sony Micro DV camera with me or I would hav no footage.

Thanks
It is working in the card mode for stills and it seems to be recording in the auto video mode. I have no way of rewind and review
