Does the cineform neo hd codec have any benefit in terms of editing speed vs. raw m2t files?
By converting to cineform, would it automatically remove 24p pulldown?

well I dont have NEO (its a little too much for me right now) but I think the answer is yes to both questions. It can remove the pulldown at capture and once in cform codec its much quicker to edit with since its no longer interframe compression.

I haven't sprung for CineForm yet either. But I'm not sure what "quicker to edit" means. My timeline and previews in Vegas 7 with HDV footage are identical to DV footage. If you mean "quicker to render", then that might be worth looking into. Can anyone who actually uses Neo verify this?
As a point of reference, editing DV and outputting to SD DVD on my computer, renders are 1/2 real time, i.e., a five minute video takes about 2 1/2 minutes to render [mostly straight cuts or dissolves, no color correction.] Rendering native HDV .m2t files to SD DVD takes about twice real time under the same conditions, i.e., a five min video takes roughly 10 minutes to render. So if the CineForm files render faster, it might be more appealing to me.

I meant is it easier to move back and forth in the timeline while editing HD in cineform without stutter or hangups?

If you intend to do a lot of editing in Premiere, NeoHDV might not be enough. Should step up to AspectHD which gives realtime capability during editing in Premiere timeline. Of course, the damage is $500

I'd be using Vegas...
