Yeah... It's too bad. These folks will gladly try to make a $300-400 profit off a HV20 forum member, but then their gone.

I don't blame any member who wants to save some $$$ buying from one of these guys. However, I'd feel much better buying from someone who was going to be making a continuing contribution to the forum rather than just using us to make a quick buck.

Capitalism... you gotta love it even when it the dark side comes into focus. :D

haha. yeah honestly i wouldn't come here to make money off of people i know at least. if i had hv20s at my disposal i would gladly charge shipping and thats it. i would do that because i would only hope people would do that for me

you guys made me fell bad. i'm totally new in this video thing. honestly i
didn't even know the canon hv20 till 2 weeks ago. two of my friends was
in the market for a canon camcorder. they were in my home to check the
online price and found the sears sale for hv20. the funny thing is i never
think i would buy it since i'm a nikon camera guy only take pictures and
had a very old sony camcorder also rarely use it. last week i just went to
sears during the lunch time for something else and i wanted to see if they
got the hv20 without any hope. they had 5 in stock (4 brand new and 1
open box). the price was too good so i bought 3, one for me another 2 for
my friends. the thing is one of my friends already ordered a canon hg10
and he prefers the harddisk version so this one goes for sale. my friend got
the hv20 for $300 ($275 plus tax) from me. i think $625 shipped is a fair
market price but since you guys are so against it. i decide to cancel this sale
to keep it as a backup or give somebody as a gift.
btw i learned a lot from this forum during past several days. great forum!
