Hello everyone. A few months back I built a media center computer for my living room for the purpose of providing all sorts of entertainment for friends and family when they come over. I have since started using it for video editing with good results and thought that there might be some of you who might enjoy this setup too. They will come in an Antec Fusion case (http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=15738) at first, but other (smaller) options will be available shortly after. Here's what I'm thinking:

[LIST]
Core 2 Duo or Quad-Core Xeon
1TB - 1.5TB Hard Drive Space
HDMI output Video card
Lightscribe DVD/CD Writer
Ability to purchase with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Vegas, Pinnacle, and other programs pre-installed.
Black Magic Intensity Card

I'm still putting the details of this thing together, but wanted to see if anyone would be interested in something like this. I'm going to post a video demonstration of my own unit to give everyone an idea. What do you think?

I'd be very interested....what would be the cost? With and without the software installed?

I am still in the process of tweaking this system, but pricing will all depend on how high end of a system you want. I should hopefully have an idea of systems/specs/pricing by the end of this week. Keep an eye on this thread for additional info.

Actually, you will receive retail packaging for whatever software you are purchasing. I haven't decided if I will be preinstalling the software onto the computer, since people may decide to customize their installations to include things they do and don't want. You'll get customer support from each manufacturer for each product. Alpha Electronics is an authorized reseller for many software companies (including Adobe) so I'm looking to see what software HV20 owners need.
