Folks.
Planning to purchase HV20 ASAP. Looking at the forum, I feel I'm little bit late in the game. Do anyone know any good deals out there? If you could share that will be great.
Nice forum. Keep it up folks. :hv20-smilie03:
Thanks a lot

Welcome to the forum coralmine! :hv20-smilie24: You're certainly not joining this party too late, it's only just begun!
A little more info about where you're buying from would help us to help you.
Cheers!

I'm curious too, I really can't find any deals, which would really be helpful when buying this camera.
Been browsing the footage and looks like a great camera, but I still need an external mic and a few other bits, and one of those $800 deals would help :X.

I believe Macmall.com has the HV20 for $899.00, not great but better than most as of tonight. Depends on Tax. With fathers day over with I think some better deals will pop up this week.

Macmall says HV20 is not available and the price that is listed on the site is $1099. Bad luck..I believe

Earlier it was for $899.99. I think if you wait a day or two something will arise. Circuit City has it for 999.99 they are out stock I think right now. They stock up in the mornings.

I'm in the same boat as coralmine. Finally decided this was the camera I want to purchase and feel like I missed out on all the good deals.
Do the prices on desirable new cameras like the HV20 tend to fluctuate so much or is this just a matter of supply/demand pushing the price up?

Also, I have been checking Circuit City's website for availability. Their price was at $998.99 for the last few days, then dropped to something like $977.99 late last night (but still no inventory). Now it's up to $1,006.99 but still nothing in stock. ????

I too was waiting for bottom price. I decided to get the HV-20 for a slightly higher price $1029 at B & H. They have them in stock, are reliable, and no tax or shipping. The 10% off coupon from CC was never received online after 5 attempts, so gave up on CC. Find someone who has it in stock and buy it.
The difference in price isn't that great.:hv20-smilie77:
