View Full Version : Making Money...

I really need (want) to make money to buy a 35mm adapter. (Keeping in mind that these are things a 14 year old can do...).
I know theres mowing the lawn and blah blah blah, but I want to something more creative that involves photography or cinematography. I got a bunch of money from my birthday, but that went towards my HV20 and Nikon D40. (I need to stop spending...:( )
Ideas?

Tough one; it will be difficult to get work at that age.
Got any relatives that are getting married?

Try posting on craigslist (make sure you dont put your age up on the ad though). If you get responses interested then you can tell them the details. Im 16 years old and im working on 2 projects right now. Both of which i started out by telling them what services i can provide, then showed them some sample footage that impressed them. Lastly, i told them my age, and after seeing the examples, they werent discouraged. Im sure if i had told them my age first, they would have thought "oh, nevermind, its just some kid with his parents home video camera". it might seem like im misleading them, but its really just selling, all salespeople do the same thing. i suggest you do the same, or something similair.

Thanks for the suggestions.
Unfortunately, I don't have a relative getting married, but I'll look into the Craigslist idea.
I've also consider iStockphoto for my pictures.
