Hi,

I just bought a 35mm adapter from Worley, and I really need a good lens for it. Little wary of ebay, so I thought I'd try here. Thanks.

Just remember, get a manual lens, as they are much cheaper than auto lens. You might wanna email sschwartz23@gmail.com. He recently sold me an adapter and offered me a 50mm 1.4 lens for 100 bucks, but I refused. You may be able to jump on it!

LOL

It's not like there's a chronic shortage (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=nikon+50mm&category0=) of them ...

EDIT: Hint: it's sometimes possible to buy a complete camera setup with lenses (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=310025388115) from a pawn shop, flea market or garage sale for less than you might pay for a single lens from a photo equipment dealer.

I bought a slightly used once with a couple scratches on the outside for $25 on ebay. It was a 50mm 1.8f nikon.

i've been looking through our local NZ trade site for a suitable Nikon lens but am unsure of what the specs look like for an appropriate manual lens. Is there a special letter combo that defines a manual?

nzo: You want a non-AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.4 (f/1.8 works too, but you want the fastest lens). I have one from a flim Nikon thats about 30 years old, and it still works fine. Although, my dad had kept it all this time so I didn't have to go searching, and I'm not sure how easy they are to get.

But something like this is what you want: http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/images1/50-14-ai-KEN_0012-950.jpg
