Great Job. I really like it. The only thing I would have to say is that if you did some cc it woudl be a heck of alot better.

Hmm, so that was interesting.. I liked the camera work. I probably wouldn't have used so much black matte in between shots. The story really didn't have a
beginning, middle and end format. If this was one of your first attempts, then I think you did a great job though. Not to be critical, just my advice/ opinion. =)

I really like the coloring in Night Out. It has a great film look. I think you should post pics of your rig...it rocks! I need to come up with something like that now to woo and wow clients. So you are in Utah? So am I. The stuff on your site looks great. I am trying to break into the local music video business.

Not to get off subject, but what is the difference between a Junior, Senior and a valued member?:hv20-smilie51:

Mal changes that when he feels as if you're more of an asset, usually when your post count starts going up...it can be set to anything, though, really.

That's what I initially thought, but it's not true. If you read this thread:
http://www.hv20.com/showthread.php?t=653

Mal says the following:

Yes there is an automatic tier system in place.

It goes something like this:

Newbie Member 0
Junior Member 2
Valued Member 30
Senior Member 100
"secret for now" 500
"secret for now" 1000

Hey Jaket, I watched the demo reel on your site. Nice stuff. Is that Vasco Rossi singing French?

Yeah as I listened more closely to it I realized it sounded more like a slavic language. So why is the camera on your rig upside down? Since you have a separate monitor couldn't you just put that upside down? I am in the process of making my own adapter as well.

Having the camera upside down just saves me 1 more step in post, I don't need to flip my images later because I already flipped my camera.

Oh, thanks for that. The "user title" can still be changed to anything at anytime, really. I just wasn't aware of the exact "tier system" for the auto-updates to the titles. Thanks.

I shot it in 24p in the cinema mode. my next project I'm planning on shooting in aperture priority 1/48, alot of the footage has a smeared look because the shutter was at 1/24 alot of the time.
My next Project is a short SCi-Fi.

Thanks, That one was shot on the DVX100a, I never finished shooting, (The project was way over my head at the time.) I'm planning to re-shoot it in the future at some point.
Maybe I'll shoot a short version of it on the HV20.

Core2duo 2.13ghz w/4megs L2 cache
2 gigs DDR2 800 dual channel
160gig SATA system drive
400gig SATA Video Drive

I edit in Vegas 7 pro.
I capture and edit the .m2t files and then run my final edit through The automated 24p removal process.
Vegas handles the native HDV file great and I can do almost all of my editing at full framerate.
