I have a Dell 30" LCD Monitor...... It makes editing work flow a lot easier.

Dell Ultrasharp LCD monitors got really good reviews all over in terms of price/quality. I use a Dell 2407 WFP 1920 x 1200 LCD (http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=bsd&cs=04&sku=320-4335). Check it out. Recommended! :hv20-smilie77:

Thanks for your reply and suggestions. I'll check out the Dell's as well. I prefer a 22" and price under $350.
Thanks

Jake,
with a post like this, you REALLY need to let everyone know what you want to use the monitor for!

when I read the title I thought it was about the kind of monitor you can setup
like in a studio, so you can clearly see what is being recorded on tape?
Anyway that is what I'm interested in. I'm going to be recording how to videos
and will be a one man band, no gaffers, grips etc, just me and my camera at a work table. I know I have to get one of those neat motorized tripods so I can
use a remote and re-aim the then zoom in for close up shotting,
but it sure would be nice to have some sort of TV to use instead of the tiny LCD
screen. I can't see that well anymore. Eyes get too tired at the end of a work day making stuff for orders and so on. But my guess is most of my videos
will be shoot in the early evening and weekends so I wont be interrupted.
Thanks,
mike mcknight

I agree I thought that is what this thread was about, I am in need of a small monitor for remote filiming and having the ability to view immediately.

My goal would be to use it for still photo editing and when I get the HV20 I figured the extra real estate gained from going from a 19" to a 22" display in wide screen would also be beneficial for editing some HV20 work.

For a small battery powered HD monitor with HDMI input, I don't know if there's anything yet besides this homebuilt one (http://www.boacinema.com/projects/lcd_monitor/).

Virtually everything commercially available is no better than 480-line native, as all of these are ...

Samsung 226BW 22"

Do not buy this monitor. From what i've read, there are three types of panels sold at the same price, worst of which has horrible picture. Had a chance to se it live and it was worst of the bunch.

Thanks for the heads up on their different (letter)models in question...I'm still determined to get a 22" so it's back to the reviewing table and read some more.
