I order my HV20 last Thursday only to find out today nothing has happened nor will it happen until Wednesday the 11th! The whole fekkin store takes a frickin' vacation because some gentile goes missing from a crypt 2000 years ago?
I'd like to thank them for the warning on that too. NOT!

I hate being the one who tells you "we told you so", but: We told you so!

"A NOTE ON B&H: be careful now that they actually ship BEFORE they close on April 2nd for passover!
I know they will have a cut-off day, which is probably early Thursday, the 29th of March (check with them first!)
My GUESS is that if one didn't order by Wednesday night, March 28th, (or very early March 29th), it might not be leaving their warehouse until AFTER they come back from their passover closing (April 11th!).
Make sure you read their notices on their website!"
Also, they have notices splashed all over their website; if you opened up their website, a little pop-up window made it clear that they will be closing for the holidays.
Hey I can understand your frustration, and B&H has its faults, but they are also one GREAT place to buy from, as long as you know the "downsides".
Anyway, we did try and warn you about this specific HV20-buy-before-Easter B&H pitfall, sorry you missed it.

Oh, I only just saw that; I assume that is a joke, yes? :hv20-smilie03:
From Wikipedia:
"The business is owned by Herman Schreiber. Mr. Schreiber and a number of the store's employees are observant Hasidic Jews (adherents of a group within Orthodox Judaism). The store is closed on Shabbat and Jewish holidays.
B&H opened as a storefront film shop on the Lower East Side run by Herman Schreiber and his wife (the store's name comes from their initials). The store quickly outgrew its space. B&H moved to a large space on West 17th Street in the Photo District in the 1970s. Catering to the needs of neighborhood artists, B&H expanded to selling film equipment as well as photo products. In 1997 the store moved to its present location. It now has a staff of approximately 1,000 employees."

OMG I did not know that. That's too funny (ironic). Right before I came to the HV20 forum I had a talk with my son about learning something new everyday. ;)

It looks like they will get most of my business. They managed to get close to 2 grand worth this week. It's nice they give a tracking number for shipments. My HV20 sat somewhere in Illinois yesterday and if the shedule holds up it should be on my front porch when I get home today unless UPS knows that it is a bit expensive to leave on the front porch and I have to stop by their office to pick it up.
Checked in with my coworker who handles all the video (only uses Apple) where I work and he said as soon as he gets the funding approved he is ordering a Brevis adaptor. I'll post any info down the road I can on this product. He'll be attaching it to a prosumer cam. Can't tell you off hand which one it is. I sure hope there is a lot of discussion and feedback about the various 35mm adapters - good & bad - pitfalls and successes.
