Berg en Dal, Netherlands

So, I just picked up my first ever digital camera and I believe I made the right choice with this one!

I charged the battery and went on-route right away, to a small village called Berg en Dal, in the Netherlands. The goal was to create a MTV-like videoclip whilst driving through the village. Since I didn't had a lot of time for the actual filming I ended up with only 8 minutes of footage.

So I launched Vegas, captured the video end after a few hours I ended up with a rather short videoclip of around 1:45 mins :hv20-smilie84:

I'm quite pleased with the results. I shot everything in 25p cinemode however I don't remember the other settings of the camera.

It's my first editing attempt so please be gentle and let me know what u think.

Looks very good and steady for the car shots. How did you stabilize it? Looked better than I thought it would when you picked up speed, since you were using 25p instead of the higher frame rate. Great example of HV20 footage, thanks.

That's cool! I just drove exactly the same road just a couple of days ago! I live about 15 minutes from Berg en Dal.......:hv20-smilie77:
Anyway, nice shooting from the car, unfortunately the weather was a bit dull that day. I hope you were not driving the car while filming.....:hv20-smilie03:

I stabilized it with my very steady hand :) If i put the camera on the dashboard there is too much shaking unfortunately. I still want to add some filmic color filters to this footage, like Solomon's rain clip. I'm still trying to figure that out though.

What I also liked in the clip is somewhere halfway the clip you see this short bright light fading away. It looks like a post effect but I just moved the camera down on the floor of the car and pointed it up very fast. It creates this nice little overlighting effect.

Also the sounds of the car driveby's are still to be added but that has little to do with the capabilities of the camera.
