I did buy something from Jack's Music Factory because another forum member had recommended them on this site, but , when I found that Jack's Music Factory had no stated return/transaction policy of any kind at all. I got bad feeling about doing business with no policy page on website.
I tried to cancel order but it was shipped and I refused delivery and it went back to Jack's. Although site says "free shipping" I was charged 20 dollars for shipping both ways.
I figured I would alert others to this, I have done business with Newegg, Amazon, buy.com, B&H photo, and canceled orders and refused shipment and was refunded in full. I repeatedly buy from those stores, just like walmart, etc, because they all have posted return policies and want repeat business.
I know I would have liked someone to post what I am posting, to alert me to see for myself that Jack's Music Factory has NO policy on transactions, so, I am going to take a "hit" on this, because some people are friends with Jack on this board. Let's see if this POST stays!

ARRGH!
I, for one, wish you would GIVE IT A REST, rgtaa; in the vast universe of audio retail, you have plenty of choices; personally, I fail to see how you not doing your own 'due diligence' in checking their return policy before placing your order is a good enough reason to stick them with two-way shipping on the exact, presumably non-defective item you ordered!
I've never done any business with that company but your whining certainly wouldn't deter me if I found a good price there on something I needed; from what I can tell, they've built a pretty good reputation (but clearly, there's no pleasing some people).

I'm sorry, give it a rest?
I am just sharing my experience, and letting others know what happened to me. You can check my other messages, and you don't see me complaining about other stuff.
Why are you defending Jack's Music Factory? Why can't both sides be posted so others can make up their own mind.
I would have liked to know ahead of time , no return page on Jack's site, so , I'm really trying to be helpful to others, so they don't make the same mistake I made. Wouldn't you do the same thing, if you saw a Pot-hole in the road.
Message board's shouldn't censure but show all sides, or it becomes a Sales Board.
p.s. The other thread that had both sides on Jack's Music Factory views was wiped off the site completely. Talk about censureship. So if people don't see anything negative about Jack's it's because it was "deleted". That is TRUE!

Then you'd better never buy from Circuit City (http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/lookLearn.do?cat=-13414&edOid=105452&cmSearchKeyword=restocking+fee):
"Digital cameras, camcorders, desktop PCs, notebook PCs, monitors, printers, scanners, projectors, PDAs, mobile video, GPS and radar detectors must be returned within 14 days of the sale date, and (except where prohibited by law) are subject to a 15% restocking fee if returned opened or in a non-factory sealed box."
That's with no shipping involved!
Yes. Give it a rest. Really.

I had never heard of Jacks Music Factory until I heard about them in this forum. I ask for a quote and they gave a price that seemed way under what anybody else was asking. I recieved my Rode SVM last week and I am very satisfied with them.

Erik!
What I'm saying is I never touched the package, ups never left the package with me, the Circuit City you quoted was if I opened the package which I didn't touch. Do you get it NOW?
So I got charged close to 20 percent without OPENING or TOUCHING anything , Circuit City would give 100 percent back if it is FACTORY SEALED and not touched ... and if online page said FREE SHIPPING , Jack's Page said FREE SHIPPING!
Go to Jack's Page and at top it says "FREE UPS ground" ... and I got charged 20 dollars for shipping and that doesn't sound like FREE SHIPPING to me!

...that doesn't sound like FREE SHIPPING to me!
It would of been, if you didn't change your mind after placing the order.
...with Newegg, Amazon, buy.com, B&H photo, and canceled orders and refused shipment and was refunded in full.
And who do you think PAID for all that return shipping, and canceled orders?
That's right, WE all did!
So a thank you to us might be in order, for all these canceled and returned packages of yours that we paid for...
Basta!
