where?
Ha...c'mon Taky....you had to ask? I can almost guarantee that site will never get off the ground. I'm not wishing bad againts anyone but it seems to me someone jumped the gun...just...well just because. It will all trickle back this way.
Edit: My thoughts are.... it will be more beneficial to the community at large if the owner of that site gave that domain to the owner of this site to keep it a "one-stop-HV20/30-info-shop." Less confusion and quicker access to the info you need. I'm sure they are reading this....

Maybe we need to register and rename this to either Canon HV forum.com or HV20&30.com. HV20/30.com would be great but I'm not sure "/" is allowed in a domain name.

Hah! I'll use the new site, I don't want to be associated with dull, grey HV20 cameras! ...Just kidding, I don't think I, or any other HV30 user, would prefer the new one.

Worley, what's up with 1and1? I have several domains registered with them, was inexpensive and so far hassle-free.
Registering a domain for every model is not very effective, I am glad that this site thrives, the HV20 was a hit, but otherwise... I have an elurauser domain, was pretty stupid registering it last year when Canon went with other model names. Anyway, regardless of personalities (I like Taky very much) model-less names like ccinfo or dvinfo generally makes more sense to me. After all, most features, mods and techniques are the same. For example, even the Canon-exclusive photo button trick is the same for HV, HG, DC, HF and Elura.
In reality, this site is friendly to newcomers, the mods are laid back, so it may as well accomodate owners of other models. I am using the SD1 now, and awaiting for the HF100. Will still hang out here, hope Taky doesn't mind :)
P.S. Seems that "camcorders" section on avsforum is getting stronger, it was really weak last year with just couple of posts a day.

It must be X-Rated. Web Sense filter where I work wouldn't allow me to go there.

I found this forum by Googling for HV30 info and have learned quite a bit about the cam and how-to's in a short time. It's the quality of the info that really counts.
I learned from reading reviews and forum posts (here and elsewhere) that the HV20 and HV30 were 95% the same camera. I saw how useful, to the point, creative and factual the info posted here was as compared to the sum of all the other places, and knew instantly that this would be my new home. :hv20-smilie70:
Experience and knowledge-wise, I'm way outclassed by most of the folks here...and I consider that a huge plus for me. A wise man told me a long time ago: :hv20-smilie64: "Surround yourself with people smarter than you are."
So here I am. LOL! :hv20-smilie84:
The HV30 is the HV20 with new shoes. This forum pretty much was the collective first to take the HV20 out of it's box and put it thru the paces. I see no need to go anywhere else.

Hey everyone,
I can't seem to digitize my footage into any editing software. I tried it on Avid Xpress Pro, Final Cut Express HD, and imovieHD. I can do all the steps and the computer recognizes the footage, but I can't drag the clips to the timeline. Anybody know why this is and how you can fix it? I'm new to HD stuff so I could use some advice...
Thanks.

LOL,
it's as X-Rated as hv20.com, as that link just redirects back to us here. :hv20-smilie03:
It may be the very fact that it redirects that your work disallows it.
