New guy here...saying hello!

Well hello everyone. I noticed this forum doesn't have a welcome section anywhere (that I could find) and I just wanted to introduce myself. I have lurked here for a bit reading the Mac editing forum as I am a Mac user and HV20 owner, so I figured that I should introduce myself at least in this forum.

I recently upgraded my old powerbook to an iMac and I have FCE. I am VERY new at this...actually I am capturing my first HDV footage right now! I learned from this thread that I can't do any 24p capturing/pulldown/whatever it's called with FCE...but I am realistic and I am not at a point where I need or feel I need that at the moment.

So far I managed to avoid some of the capture problems I've read others have...but I'm sure I'll encounter my own problems as I start editing.

Not sure how often I'll be posting, but I'll definitely be lurking! Anyway, seems like there are many knowledgeable people here so I hope that if I run into any issues that I can get some good help here!

Hi, hedonist, and welcome to the forum!

You should be able to find lots of sage advice around here for most anything that has you stumped. Unfortunately, since you've already wrapped principal photography and moved on to post-production, you won't be getting it from me ...

Hmm...principal photography. There's a concept I haven't fully explored.

Guess I better dedicate some more time to that as well as to post-production.
